The thinking

Why it is laid out this way

GMV is the number that flatters and never informs. Margin decomposes gross profit by supplier, market, channel and agent, and puts the cost of the demand next to the revenue it produced.

Commercial and finance teams

Stated plainly:Not built. The event model it reads from is part of the core, so the data will exist first. The preview shows the intended design so you can plan against it; it is not something you can launch today.

What the template decides

  • Gross margin per booking, not just revenue
  • Margin decomposed by supplier, market, channel and agent
  • Look-to-book by supplier, and what latency costs in conversion
  • Cancellation and refund rates with reason codes
  • Period comparison that respects seasonality

A design is a starting point, not a platform

Behind every one of these screens sits the booking core, the pricing rules and the supplier connectivity that make it function. That is the part worth evaluating hardest.
